Who we are

We are all about caring and loving our children. When a child first enters our center, we look to provide an appealing environment that enables them to build trust, comfort and a feeling of safety. Once a child is comfortable with his/her friends and teachers, only then will they be able to grasp knowledge and this is where our big adventure starts. Our mission is to provide a comfortable, confident, challenging, educational and most important a loving and caring environment. 

What we do

Our children are constantly exposed to English and Spanish throughout the day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to meet the individual needs of our children. We make a strong commitment to respect the dignity, worth and uniqueness of each child. 

We expose our children to age-appropriate holidays and values. We teach children to think for themselves to solve problems and to get along with others. At Busy Bees we place high value on play and its role in helping our children acquire the abilities that will ensure future academic success. Play and social interaction that occurs through play is the child’s primary educator. 

 We also place great emphasis on developing pro-social behavior among the children. With the assistance of the teacher, children learn to resolve their conflict verbally, share toys and materials, help others in need, and respect the rights of others. Helping children experience a sense of self-esteem, one of the main factors influencing future success, is a very important goal of our center. We want the children to feel proud of them, stand up for their rights and demonstrate increasing independence. 

 We strive to help children develop physical skills, become more coordinated, master their environment and develop a better self-concept. Many activities are provided to enhance and refine gross and fine motor skills.

Our Team

All of our staff is fully certified, licensed and takes annual training as mandated by the departments. But most importantly our staff has the love, attention and passion to care for our children. 

The founder

Dear Families,

My name is Maria Uzhca, I was born in Ecuador. At the age of 13 I immigrated to this country where I continue my education. My life has always been surrounded by the beauty of this planet which for me is a child's smile. If I could give them three things, it would be the confidence to always know their self-worth, the strength to follow their dreams and the ability to know how truly and deeply loved they are. My passion for teaching, loving and caring for children inspired and gave me the confidence to start my adventure with opening our Busy Bees Center in 2015. Since then, it has been a blessing to take care of our bees that join our hive during these years. Working with our LIC families has been fantastic, taking care of their little one has been an adventure full of happy moments. My education, knowledge and experience keeps growing with every child that arrives at our center because we are all different and unique, and each one of them gives us lessons that mark our life with experience that can help others.  Thank you to all the families that trusted their little one with us during these years and welcome to our hive to our new families.
